Traci's Hope increases its donations

The Board of Directors of Traci’s Hope has increased the dollar amount given to recipients from $500 to $1,000. The move is due to the generosity of the community in donating to Traci’s Hope, which helps local breast cancer victims pay for expenses not covered by health insurance including mortgage payments, grocery gift cards, gas gift cards and other financial awards.

A major fundraiser is the annual Traci’s Hope barbecue, which brings thousands to Hickories Park in Owego each October.

Traci’s Hope is a non-profit established with the aid of Traci Gibson, who died from breast cancer in 2006.
