PRESS RELEASE – July 30, 2008

STAR 105-7’S LORI AND JOSHUA B TO HOST MINIATURE GOLF TOURNAMENT FOR BREAST CANCER

--Vestal, NY--The First Ever Star 105-7 Miniature Golf Tournament for Breast Cancer will be hosted by Morning Show hosts Joshua B and Lori on August 23rd, 2008 at Skate Estate in Vestal, NY.  Proceeds from the tournament will benefit Traci’s Hope.

“It’s such an important cause, and we’re looking for a way to get more people involved in the charity,” says Lori from the Star Morning Show. Joshua B adds “There’s so many great charity golf tournaments around—but I gotta be honest—we have absolutely no idea how to play golf. That’s why we decided on miniature golf. And you can actually bring the kids to this one too.”

Star 105-7 is accepting teams of up to 4, with registration available at www.star1057fm.com or in person at Clear Channel Radio, 320 North Jensen Road, Vestal, NY.  The cost per team is $35, checks should be made payable to “Traci’s Hope”, and sent to the attention of Ann Marie Courtney at Clear Channel.  The tournament will begin at 4 PM with a “shotgun start” on all 18 holes.  100% of the proceeds will go to charity and Skate Estate is donating the use of its course for the afternoon.

Gordon Shiner, father of Traci Gibson, for whom the Traci’s Hope Charity is named, says, “We’re very excited Star 105-7 has decided to help this cause.  Traci always used to say how important it was for people to help people in our community.  Star 105-7’s really taking the spirit of that to heart.”

The rain date for the tournament is Sunday, September 7th at noon.
